Massachusetts Track and Field Indoor Schedule Revealed

UMass will host its first indoor meet at the TRACK at New Balance in Boston, Mass.
AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts track and field has announced its upcoming 2022-23 indoor schedule, which will begin on Saturday, December 3 as the teams head to the Alden Invitational, hosted by Brown University.

Following the Alden Invitational, the multis from both squads will head to the URI Multi-Meet, which will take place on Friday, December 9. The rest of the team will head to the UML Season Opener on Saturday, December 10 at the TRACK at New Balance.

The teams will not return to action again until January 13 and 14, when the men's and women's multis will head to Cambridge to take part in the Harvard Multi Meet.
Massachusetts will host its first indoor meet, the UMass Winter Opener, on Sunday, January 15 at the TRACK at New Balance. On January 21, UMass will head back to Boston to face off in the Battle in Beantown, hosted by Boston University.
The Minutemen and Minutewomen will head to two Boston meets on January 27 and January 28. The men will return to the TRACK at New Balance on Friday, Jan. 27 for the UMass Lowell Speed Challenge, followed by the John Thomas Terrier Classic the next day, Saturday, Jan. 28, at Boston University. The women will compete at the John Thomas Terrier Classic on Friday and the UMass Lowell Speed Challenge on Saturday.

The New England Championships be held at the TRACK at New Balance on February 2-3, followed by a return trip to Boston for the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on February 10 and 11. Massachusetts will head to URI once more on Saturday, February 11 for the URI Coaches Invitational.
UMass will then close out its indoor campaign at the Atlantic 10 Championships, February 25-26, which will be hosted by URI in Kingston, Rhode Island.
The TRACK at New Balance, the venue at which the Minutemen and Minutewomen will host their first indoor meet, is a state-of-the-art track and field facility equipped with a 200-meter hydraulically-banked indoor track, a dedicated track and field throwing area, as well as a spectator area capable of accomodating up to 5,000 people.
