Women's Lacrosse Unveils 2022 Slate

AMHERST, Mass. – Massachusetts' Women's Lacrosse head coach Angela McMahon announced the Minutewomen's 2022 schedule. The defending A10 champions are set to start their 2022 campaign on February 12.
The 17-game regular season slate includes eight home games on Garber Field and nine games on the road. The Minutewomen will see competition against three teams that reached the NCAA tournament a last season.
UMass kicks off their season with a road game against UMass Lowell on Feb. 12 followed by four straight home games starting with the defending national champion, Boston College on Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. Vermont (Feb. 23), Boston University (Feb. 26), and Connecticut (Mar. 5).
Other non-conference opponents include road tests at Vanderbilt (Mar. 11), Sienna (Mar. 15) and Dartmouth (Mar. 18).
Atlantic 10 play kicks off with two straight road games on Mar. 25 against Saint Bonaventure in Olean, N.Y. and at Duquesne on Mar. 27 at 1 p.m. Conference home games include Virginia Commonwealth (Apr. 1), George Mason (Apr. 3), George Washington (Apr. 8), Richmond (April 10) , and Saint Joseph's (April 16). The Minutewomen will hit the road to take on LaSalle (April 14), and Davidson (April 23).
UMass will host the 2022 Atlantic 10 Championships at Garber Field from April 28 – May 1.
The Minutewomen will be seeking their league-record 12th championship title in 2020 – a mark that included a run of nine straight from 2009-2017.
One of the most winningest programs in NCAA women's lacrosse over the last nine years with 172 victories, UMass has reached the NCAA Tournament in 10 of the last 12 years with the Minutewomen reaching the second round in 2013, 2015, 2016, and 2017. In 2016, UMass reached the quarterfinals for the first time since 1984.
