Massachusetts Football Announces 2022 Slate

The Massachusetts football program kicks off it's 143rd season in 2022 as the return of head coach Don Brown begins.
AMHERST, Mass. – Massachusetts Director of Athletics Ryan Bamford and head football coach Don Brown have announced the 2022 Minutemen football schedule.
The schedule includes five home dates, as the season begins at Tulane (Sept. 3) to begin the 143rd season of football for the University of Massachusetts. It marks the second meeting of the two programs, the first during the 2016 season.
The Minutemen open McGuirk Alumni Stadium against Stony Brook as the two teams meet for the first time since 2010. The Minutemen head into the contest with a 3-0 record against the Sea Wolves.
Massachusetts will host Family Weekend on October. 15 as the Minutemen welcome Buffalo and will celebrate Homecoming on October. 29 against New Mexico State. The Minutemen will host Liberty (Oct. 8) and Army (Nov. 26) to close out their home slate.
Other road contests include a visit to the city of brotherly love to take on the Owls of Temple University (Sept. 24) and Eastern Michigan (Oct. 1). UMass will hit the road to take on the Connecticut Huskies on November 5, Arkansas State on November 12, and will play their final road contest against Southeastern Conference opponent, Texas A&M on November 19.
"The 2022 schedule has a great mix of opponents, both on a local and national scale.' said Brown. 'We look forward to competing against regional rivals and national powerhouses as we focus on making the first bowl game in FBS history!"
The times and television schedule will be announced at a later date, and all dates are subject to change.
Season ticket deposits are now being accepted for new and returning season ticket holders. Season ticket packages for 2022 include a ticket to each of the team's five home games. Season ticket holders will receive a complimentary parking pass to Lot 22, the South Stadium Loop, or ADA. Should fans wish to upgrade to parking in Lot 11 or on Stadium Drive, they can do so for a fee of $50 for the season.
Fans who place deposits for new season tickets will be contacted to select their seat location prior to new season tickets going on sale on March 29. Returning season ticket holders will see their deposit reflected as a credit on their renewal invoice, which will be sent via email on Feb. 2.
