Student Parking and Tailgating Available For Saturday

The Minutemen take on Eastern Michigan on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at McGuirk Alumni Stadium
AMHERST, Mass. – In preparation for this Saturday's UMass Football home game against Eastern Michigan, the athletics department has announced information regarding student parking and tailgating opportunities near McGuirk Alumni Stadium.
A select number of parking spaces in Lot 11 and Lot 33 will be available on a first come, first serve basis to UMass students at no charge.
To reserve a parking pass, UMass students must visit the UMass Ticket Office at the Mullins Center on Thursday, September 16 or Friday, September 17 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and sign a Student Parking & Tailgating Expectations Agreement. Reservations for the Eastern Michigan game will be accepted until 6 p.m. on Friday, September 17 or until parking lots reach capacity.
Student ID's are required to pick up the parking pass and to enter the lot on Game Day. Students will also be asked to provide the license plate number for their vehicle to acquire a pass.
To ensure the safety of pedestrians on Game Day, students with valid parking passes will be permitted to park in their designated lot during a 30-minute window between 2.5 and 2 hours prior to kickoff. On Saturday, the window will be 1:00 – 1:30 p.m. due to the 3:30 p.m. start time. Vehicles that do not enter the lot in the prescribed 30-minute window may not be allowed into the lot, may be directed to another lot or lose parking privileges for the day.
Lots will open for vehicle tailgating 2.5 hours prior to the start of the game and end at the start of the game. Tailgating will not be allowed until the designated 2.5 hours prior to kick off. In addition, student vehicles must remain in the lot until halftime.
Parking availability and information for remaining home games will be determined at a later date.
A parking pass provides access to one reserved parking space in the lot. Issued parking passes can be cancelled at any time by the school administration without notice. If cancelled, the issued parking pass becomes void and will not be honored on Game Day.
