UMass Football Signs Zamar Wise To NLI

6-foot-3, 205-pound athlete competed scholastically at Barringer High School and Milford Academy
AMHERST, Mass. - University of Massachusetts football and head coach Walt Bell signed three-star athlete Zamar Wise to a National Letter of Intent as the 25th member of the 2020 Massachusetts Football Signing Class. Wise, ranked a three-star by 247Sports and ESPN, competed at Milford Academy in Milford, New York, during 2019 after he previously attended Barringer High School near his hometown of Newark, New Jersey.
Wise earned three-star ratings from 247Sports and ESPN while he attended Barringer High School in Newark. ESPN listed Wise as the No. 17 recruit in New Jersey, No. 22 recruit by position, and No. 79 within the East region. 247Sports tabbed Wise No. 34 in New Jersey with a rating of .8534.
Wise made an impact at running back, wide receiver and quarterback for Milford Academy and head coach Bill Chaplick during a post-graduate year in 2019. He averaged 5.1 yards on the ground with 31 carries covering 158 yards and one touchdown. He posted 14 receptions for 404 yards – an average of 28.9 yards per catch – and scored five touchdowns through the air as well. Wise also completed six passes for 106 yards (17.7 per attempt) with one touchdown thrown.
