Earlier this week, Massachusetts was picked eighth in the conference in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll, while Mitchell was selected to the league's Preseason All-Conference First-Team.

The A10 also announced Wednesday the dates and television assignments for the 2020-21 UMass men's basketball season. The Minutemen will host nine league contests at home in the Mullins Center and will be featured nationally on ESPN, NBC Sports Network, or CBS Sports Network in seven of their 18 league matchups.

In addition, UMass Athletics announced that it will not host fans at its home events until further notice. The decision was made following consultation with local public health and university officials and in accordance with the Governor's Executive Order prohibiting large capacity venues from opening to the public.

All games not carried as part of the A-10's national television package will be streamed through the Atlantic 10's partnership with ESPN+. Virtual season ticket offerings will be available for fans at a later date.
