Football Announces Details On Saturday's "Spring Showcase"

Team will forgo traditional Spring Game format due to personnel limitations
AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts football program announced details surrounding its upcoming final practice of the semester, when UMass will host its "Spring Showcase" on April 20 at 11 a.m. instead of a traditionally-formatted Spring Game, due to personnel limitations at key positions on the roster.
The showcase will run approximately 90 minutes and will include individual position drills as well as team segments, during which the squad will line up for standard offense-versus-defense repetitions. Score and time will not be kept on the McGuirk Alumni Stadium scoreboard during the team segment.
University of Massachusetts Athletics previously announced fan information for the 2019 UMass Football Spring Showcase, including details on parking, tailgating and in-stadium fan experience events.
Season ticket holders will have the opportunity to join the football coaches and staff on the field for a host of activities following the conclusion of the showcase. Those who would like to purchase season tickets can do so via 1-866-UMASS-TIX or online throughĀ umassathletics.com/ticketsĀ to receive these benefits.

Parking for the Spring Showcase will be free and lots will open at 10 a.m. There will not be a formal group student tailgate permitted for the Spring Showcase. Tailgating will cease at kickoff (11 a.m.).
UMass football begins its 2019 season at Rutgers on Fri., Aug. 30. The Minutemen host their first home game of the year the following weekend with a Sat., Sept. 7 contest against Southern Illinois at McGuirk Alumni Stadium. Kickoff for both contests will be announced at later dates.

- Photo opportunities with Sam The Minuteman
- 2019 UMass Football Schedule Poster pick-up

- Face painting and temporary glitter tattoo station with the "Happy Face Painters"
