5-AMHERST, Mass. - University of Massachusetts football head coach Walt Bell officially welcomed 13 newcomers to the program during National Signing Day on Wed., Feb. 6. In tandem with the seven early signing period letters of intent received in December, Massachusetts boasts 20 members in Bell's first recruiting class as the program's leader.
The 13 signees introduced to fans during the UMass Football National Signing Day Show on Wednesday included Andrew Brito (QB), Logan Darby (DB), Garrett Dzuro (QB), Wilson Frederic (DL), Xavier Gonsalves (DL), Xavier Graham (OL), Max Longman (OL), Jarvis Miller (LB) Cam Roberson (WR), Javon Turner (WR), Josh Wallace (DB), Dariyan Wiley (WR) and Billy Wooden (DL).
Darby, Miller and Roberson arrived on-campus for the spring semester while Brito, Dzuro, Frederic, Gonsalves, Graham, Longman, Turner, Wallace, Wiley and Wooden signed NLIs on Wednesday morning.
They join a class that features December signees Kevin Brown (RB), Helber Fagundes (OL), Jermaine "OC" Johnson (WR), Taj Jones (ATH), Cletus Mathurin (DL), Malik Sanders (DB) and Bryce Wade (OL).
