Men's Hoops Announces Promotional Schedule For 2019-20 Season

The 16-game promotional schedule starts with a rally towel giveaway for the home opener.
AMHERST, Mass. - The 16-game promotional schedule for the 2019-20 UMass men's basketball season was unveiled on Friday afternoon and will open up with a replica court rally towel giveaway during the home opener against UMass Lowell on Nov. 5 in the Mullins Center. Single game, season tickets and the Flagship Flex Pack can be purchased online at UMass Athletics Ticket Central, by calling 866-UMASS-TIX or in person at the Mullins Center Box Office.

November 5 vs. UMass Lowell: Home OpenerÂ
New court. New jerseys. New student-athletes. New season. Help us kick off the season on a high note as we host the River Hawks. We will be celebrating our brand new court with a replica court rally towel giveaway! Make sure to get there early to guarantee yourself a rally towel. Also, UMass Cheerleading and the UMass Dance Team will be putting on a special halftime spirit performance.

November 12 vs. Northeastern: Veteran's Appreciation Night
In honor of Veteran's Day, we want to make sure that we showed our eternal gratitude to all those who have served. We will be recognizing individuals and organizations that provide support for all veterans. All military members will be eligible for two free tickets just by showing their military ID.

November 16 vs. Central Connecticut State: America Recycles Day
November 15th is National Recycling Day so we want to support and raise awareness for the importance of recycling. Campus and community partners will be involved to help educate fans on easy ways to start recycling more. We will be giving out reusable grocery bags to the first fans through the door to cut down on single-use paper and plastic bags.

November 20 vs. Rider: Thanksgiving Food Drive
Join UMass Basketball as we look to give back to the UMass and Amherst community. We will be asking all fans to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the UMass Food Pantry to help provide food security for UMass undergraduate and graduate students in need.

December 4 vs. South Carolina: Community Night
UMass is made great because of the individuals and organizations that make a positive impact in the community. Community Night is our chance to give these organizations and individuals the recognition they deserve. Do you know a community who deserves to be recognized? Submit the individual's name with a brief blurb about them to efranke@umass.edu and we will be recognizing a few select community members throughout the game.
December 11 vs. Yale:Â Massachusetts Pride Night
Did you know chocolate chip cookies were invented in Massachusetts?! Come and learn more about our great state as we celebrate all things Massachusetts! Participate in a Massachusetts trivia contest for your chance to be entered into win some great Massachusetts themed prizes!

December 20 vs. Maine: Holiday Celebration
UMass Men's Basketball will be celebrating the holiday season in the Mullins Center! Make your own holiday card and snowflakes on the concourse. Bring your caroling voice as there will be plenty of wintery tunes throughout the game! The first fans through the door will receive a pair of UMass texting gloves to help stay warm in the cold months!

January 8 vs. La Salle: Superhero Night
Superheroes come in all shapes and sizes. Help us celebrate all the super heroes out there, both fictional and real. Come dressed as your favorite superhero for a chance to win a UMass Basketball prize pack. We will also be recognizing the everyday superheroes in our community, the first responders, police officers, and fire fighters. Come early for your chance to get your hands on a UMass superhero cape!

Help us welcome back the alumni who have helped build and shape the UMass Basketball program over the year! Come see who has returned to campus and we will take a look back at some iconic moments throughout the year. It is also International Students Night where we will be welcoming a new incoming group of students from all over the world. Leaman Legacy Day is our chance to remember the great Jack Leaman, for who the court is named after. Jack's memory lives on every year through the Leaman Legacy Clinic that will take place prior to the game. We invite all youth basketball players to come out and cheer on the Minutemen. It will be a special night as we recognize the Western Mass CYO teams and show our appreciation for their support throughout the years. All kids in attendance are encouraged to wear a jersey to show their team pride!

February 15 vs. Dayton: Coaches vs. Cancer Game
UMass Basketball will be partaking in the Coaches vs. Cancer 3 Point Challenge again this upcoming February. Jump on board and commit to making a donation for every 3 pointer that the Minutemen make throughout the month. UMass For The Kids is a student run organization that is dedication to changing the lives of kids at the Baystate Children's Hospital. Last year they raised over $280,000 and this year they are looking to raise even more. This game is all about them and how the UMass community can help them in their support of Baystate Children's Hospital. They will be putting on a special halftime dance performance!

This night is all about our fans! We want to take the time to recognize and show our appreciation to everyone that supports us in any way. We will have a variety of giveaway items for the first fans through the door. Also, all season ticket holders will be able to pick up their exclusive thank you gift as a token of our appreciation for the season long support! The UMass Dance Team will be performing their national routine at halftime!
