AMHERST, Mass. - University of Massachusetts Director of Athletics Ryan Bamford and the UMass football program announced multiple future season schedule additions and a scheduling adjustment on Thursday. It includes series with eight FBS programs: Army West Point, Eastern Michigan, Liberty, Mississippi State, Missouri, New Mexico, Northern Illinois and Penn State.

"We are pleased to be announce a number of great games with quality FBS opponents in future years," Bamford said. "Coach Bell's program will see a healthy mix of games versus regional and national opponents, which is an important piece of our plan to create a sustainable future for UMass Football as an FBS Independent."

The newest additions to future UMass football schedules include series with Missouri, New Mexico, Northern Illinois and Penn State, of which the meetings with Missouri, New Mexico and Northern Illinois will be home-and-home.

Southeastern Conference (SEC) member Missouri will visit the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and McGuirk Alumni Stadium in 2024 before the Minutemen travel to the Tigers during the 2025 season. Massachusetts added a two-game series with New Mexico, traveling to the Lobos in 2020 ahead of the teams' meeting in the Bay State during the 2023 campaign. The Minutemen return to former Mid-American Conference opponent Northern Illinois during 2024 and the Huskies make a trip East in 2025.

Massachusetts and Army will square off during each of the next 10 seasons. The Minutemen will host the Black Knights in 2020, '22, '24, '26 and '28 while UMass heads to Michie Stadium in 2019, '21, '23, '25 and '27.

The Maroon and White will host the Flames in 2026 before the team heads to Lynchburg, Virginia, in 2027. An eight-game series spanning the 2018-25 was announced prior to the 2018 campaign.

An adjustment and additions to the upcoming UMass-Eastern Michigan series includes two more games between the Minutemen and the Eagles. Massachusetts will host EMU in 2021 and '24 while UMass visits Ypsilanti, Michigan, during the 2022 and '23 seasons. Additionally, the Minutemen will now head to Mississippi State on Oct. 19, 2024. The game at Davis Wade Stadium was previously set for Oct. 17, 2020.
