NEW ORLEANS - University of Massachusetts football redshirt senior Andrew Ford was one of only 30 quarterbacks across the nation selected to the 2018 Manning Award Watch List, as announced by the Allstate Sugar Bowl on Thursday. Ford went 223-of-353 for 2,924 yards and 22 touchdowns as a redshirt junior one year ago and enters his final year ranked among the top five QBs in school history for completion percentage, total completions, passer efficiency rating, passing yards per game and touchdown passes.

The Manning Award was created by the Allstate Sugar Bowl in honor of the college football accomplishments of Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning. It is the only quarterback award that includes the candidates' bowl performances in its balloting. The winner will again be selected by a voting panel, which includes national media and each of the Mannings, after the bowls.
