Senior wide receiver recognized by prestigious Walter Camp Football Foundation with top honor

ATLANTA - University of Massachusetts football senior wide receiver Andy Isabella was announced as a Walter Camp All-America First Team selection on Thursday evening during the ESPN College Football Awards Ceremony hosted at the College Football Hall of Fame.

The Walter Camp Football Foundation will recognize Isabella, who was present at the ESPN ceremony as one of only three finalists for the Biletnikoff Award, during an awards banquet on Sat., Jan. 12, 2019 in New Haven, Connecticut.

Isabella is the nation's FBS leader in receiving yards (1,698) and receiving yards per game (141.5) while he also ranks third in receptions per game (8.5) and tied for fourth in touchdown catches (13). The Mayfield, Ohio, native totaled 102 catches over his 12 starts at wide receiver, with at least four catches in every game. He also reset the team's single-season and career receiving yards (3,526) marks with the final catch of his collegiate career, a 45-yard touchdown at No. 5 Georgia.

Isabella is the program's second-ever Walter Camp All-America Team selection following Tajae Sharpe's second team nod in 2015.
