Senior wide receiver picks up fourth all-America selection

AMHERST, Mass. - University of Massachusetts senior wide receiver Andy Isabella took home his fourth all-America honor of the year with his placement on the Associated Press (AP) second team, as announced by the organization on Monday. Isabella owns first team all-America awards from the Walter Camp Football Foundation, which serves as the NCAA's official all-America listing, as well as Pro Football Focus, and a second team nod by Sports Illustrated.

Isabella led the nation in receiving yards per game (141.5) by 24 yards per game over the next receiver (Antoine Wesley, 117.5) with 1,698 over 12 starts at wide receiver. He also tallied 102 receptions and took 13 of those for touchdowns. His total receiving yards and receiving yards per game total reset the single-season program records while his receptions and touchdown catches rank second all-time at UMass.

The 5-foot-10, 190-pound native of Mayfield, Ohio, was also one of only three finalists for the Biletnikoff Award. He was the first Minuteman in the history of the UMass program to earn a finalist spot for an FBS position-based national honor and earn invitation to the ESPN College Football Awards Ceremony.
