Isabella Wins Harry Agganis/Harold Zimman Award

Senior wide receiver recognized as most outstanding player in New England
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The New England Football Writers Association (NEFWA) selected University of Massachusetts senior wide receiver Andy Isabella as the 2018 Harry Agganis/Harold Zimman Award, which recognizes Isabella as the most outstanding player in New England. Isabella, also a member of the NEFWA All-Region Team, currently leads FBS in total receiving yards and receiving yards per game following his record-setting senior season.
Isabella is the nation's FBS leader in receiving yards (1,698) and receiving yards per game (141.5) while he also ranks third in receptions per game (8.5) and tied for fifth in touchdown catches (13). The Mayfield, Ohio, native totaled 102 catches over his 12 starts at wide receiver, with at least four catches in every game. He also reset the team's single-season and career receiving yards (3,526) marks with the final catch of his collegiate, a 45-yard touchdown at No. 5 Georgia.
All NEFWA major award winners and All-New England Team selections will be lauded at the upcoming NEFWA Captains and Awards Banquet on Thurs., Dec. 6. Tickets are $60 and can be purchased online.
