6-foot-5 tight end posted 64 receptions, 764 receiving yards, four touchdowns in 2017

AMHERST, Mass. - USA TODAY named University of Massachusetts football tight end Adam Breneman to its annual College Football All-American Team on Monday, as Breneman was one of only two tight ends chosen from all NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) programs. A constant contributor in his 11 games played during 2017, Breneman provided 64 receptions, 764 receiving yards and four touchdowns to the dynamic group that finished the regular season 17th in the nation for pass offense.

Individually, Breneman finished his final collegiate season as the top-ranked tight end in the nation for receptions per game (5.8) and second for most receiving yards per game (69.5) while playing 65-70 snaps played per game as he also sealed the edge as one of the team's primary blocking tight end. He joined John Mackey Award winner Mark Andrews (Oklahoma) as the only tight ends selected to the USA TODAY College Football All-America Team. Breneman was also only one of seven Group of 5 student-athletes picked for the list.

Breneman is now the third Minuteman selected to a major, national all-America team alongside Jean Sifrin (2014, Sports Illustrated) and Tajae Sharpe (2015, Walter Camp).
