UMass Court Club Gathers For 2015 Golf Outing Monday

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. - The UMass Court Club hosted its annual golf outing in conjunction with the University of Massachusetts basketball program and head coach Derek Kellogg at Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, Massachusetts, Monday. The day's main feature was a best-ball Noontime start for the 35 groups of four signed up to compete against each other.

Before taking to the links, attendees were invited to lunch in Orchards Golf Club's main dining area and on the patio overlook the course. Kellogg greeted each group at the first tee box while the UMass Court Club raffled off a variety of items during the afternoon and evening, with proceeds going toward the program. Following completion of all rounds, the groups returned to the clubhouse for a dinner party where scores were tallied to name a winning team and raffle numbers were drawn.

Kellogg and the Minutemen open the 2015-16 season with a Saturday, Nov. 14 home game in the Mullins Center against Howard. Ticket information will be available through UMass Ticket Central or by calling the UMass Athletics Ticket Office at 866-UMASS-TIX.
