* UMass moved into a 4-way tie for first place in the Atlantic 10 standings, joining Dayton, Rhode Island and VCU at 8-3.

* UMass improved to 41-23 all-time against St. Bonaventure. The teams split their home-and-home season series this year. UMass is now 16-14 at SBU and snapped a two-game losing streak at the Reilly Center.

* UMass improved to 5-5 in road games this season and 5-1 in Atlantic 10 road games. The Minutemen have won their last three league games away from home, doing so for the first time since 2008.

* UMass trailed by six points (39-33) with 14:42 left in the game. It was the largest second-half deficit overcome in a win this season. UMass had previously trailed Iona by five with 5:22 remaining. The largest deficit overcome this season was a 13-point hole against Boston College but that was with 10:54 left in the first half.

* UMass shot 46.3 percent in the game for its second-highest effort in 11 league games.

* UMass was 15-of-18 at the free throw line for an 83.3 pct. mark. That's the second-highest this year and the fourth-consecutive game at 75 pct or better. UMass is 70-of-89 (.787) in its last four games.

* The Minutemen outrebounded the Bonnies 32-31, marking the eighth time in the last nine games this season that has happened. UMass is 9-4 this season (6-2 in A-10 play) when grabbing more boards than the opponents.

* UMass committed a season-high 20 turnovers. SBU turned it over 15 times. UMass held a 20-18 edge in points off turnovers.

* The Minutemen finished with 10 steals, their third-highest total of the season. They scored 14 points on ensuing possessions, including the final five points of the game.

* UMass improved to 9-1 when leading at the half.

* Junior PG Trey Davis led the Minutemen in scoring with 12 points on 5-of-11 shooting, to go along with three assists and one turnover. He has 32 assists and nine turnovers in the last eight games, a 3.6 assist-to-turnover ratio. He also made his only two free throws, extending his streak of consecutive makes to 22.

* Senior F Cady Lalanne finished with 10 points, five rebounds and two blocks. He now has 1021 career points, moving past Tyrone Weeks and Raphiael Putney into 43rd all-time in school history. His 796 rebounds place him alone in 11th place.
