Dillard, Stallworth Earn A-10 Weekly Basketball Honors

AMHERST, Mass. - After standout performances in the 74-60 win at Holy Cross to open the season, UMass sophomore guard Cierra Dillard and freshman guard Bria Stallworth were honored by the Atlantic 10 on Monday afternoon. Dillard was picked as the league's Co-Player of the Week, while Stallworth was named the conference Rookie of the Week.
A native of Rochester, N.Y., Dillard scored 21 points on Sunday to go with seven assists and five rebounds. Her game-high 21 points came on a 7-of-14 shooting effort from the floor which was bolstered by a 4-of-7 day from beyond the three-point line. The 21 points marked her fourth career 20-plus point effort for a single game, while her seven assists were a career-best.
Stallworth, a native of Chicago, started her career with the Minutewomen by notching 19 points and six assists in the win. Making her first collegiate appearance, she hit 8-of-13 shots and was 2-for-2 from three-point range.
The Minutewomen will return to action on Wednesday, Nov. 18 at Harvard. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. and the game will be streamed live online for free by the Ivy League Digital Network.
