Kellogg to Speak at NCCJ Springfield Event Thursday

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - University of Massachusetts men's basketball head coach Derek Kellogg will participate in a National Conference for Community and Justice (NCCJ) event in his hometown of Springfield, Massachusetts, as a guest speaker Thursday evening. At the conference, Kellogg will discuss the importance of unbiased inclusion and celebrating diversity with insight into how those relate to college athletics.
The event begins at Barney Carriage House in Forest Park at 5:30 p.m., with the formal program commencing at approximately 6:15 p.m., and an expected conclusion time of 7:30 p.m.
The National Conference for Community and Justice is a human relations organization that promotes inclusion and acceptance by providing education and advocacy while building communities that are respectful and just for all.
The Connecticut/Western Massachusetts chapter is proud to have been the first NCCJ region established in the country. With an 80 year history, the NCCJ of Connecticut and Western Massachusetts will continue to draw upon its proud tradition of championing the cause of social justice for all and its mission of fighting bias, bigotry and racism in all its forms and to work toward building strong and inclusive communities.
