* UMass won at Chaifetz Arena for the first time in five games on Saturday. SLU now leads the all-time series 9-5.

* UMass earned its third A-10 road win of the season, improving to 3-1 in league road contests and 3-5 overall on the road.

* UMass won for the second time this season when scoring 60 points or less (Rhode Island) and is now 2-3.

* The Minutemen led 30-27 at the half and are now 7-1 when leading at the intermission.

* UMass made 21 field goals with four coming from 3-point range. The team finished with 30 points in the pain, meaning 15 of its 17 2-point baskets were in the paint, and 11 were layups or tip-ins.

* UMass was 14-of-18 at the free throw line for .778 - its second-highest effort this season. The season high was .931 (27-for-29) against Manhattan on Nov. 13.

* The Minutemen outrebounded the Billikens, 36-31 overall and 11-7 on the offensive glass. It is the sixth-consecutive game to achieve both benchmarks. UMass is now 7-4 when outrebounding its opponent.

* Senior C Cady Lalanne finished with 14 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks. It was his tenth double-double of the year and 23rd of his career. He was also 4-for-4 from the free throw line - his best pct with at least 4 attempts since a pair of efforts last season - 6-for-6 at Elon & 4-for-4 vs. URI in the 2014 A-10 Tournament. He also played well in his second game at Chaifetz Arena following a 18-point, 13-rebound game two years ago. The senior from Orlando now has 996 points and 770 rebounds and 180 blocks in his career.

* Junior G Jabarie Hinds finished with 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting, 2-of-3 from outside, and two steals in 20 minutes. It was his seventh game in double-figures and second in A-10 play. In eight second-half minutes, he had five points and two steals, while making his only two shots.

* Junior PG Trey Davis had six points, four assists and one rebound in 29 minutes... His second-half line was six points, four assists, zero turnovers in 20 minutes. He has 22 assists and six turnovers in the last five games - a 3.1-to-1 ratio.
