Pierre-Louis Named UMass Athlete Of The Week

AMHERST, Mass. - University of Massachusetts women's basketball forward Kim Pierre-Louis tallied Dinn Bros. UMass Athlete of the Week on Tuesday after the senior provided a season-best 22 points during a 67-62 come-from-behind victory over the University of Central Florida on Sunday, Nov. 30.

Pierre-Louis will receive her award at the Wednesday, Dec. 3 UMass Sports Luncheon scheduled to be held in the Massachusetts Room of the Mullins Center from Noon through 1:15 p.m.

UMass Tri-Athlete of the Week honorees Patrick McGowan, Molly Smyth and Alessandro Bomprezzi, who split the accolade for the week of Nov. 24-28, will be honored for their previous accomplishments as a sports luncheon was not hosted on Wednesday, Nov. 26. The upcoming luncheon will also serve to recognize the fall scholar-athletes, women's cross country senior Rachel Hilliard and men's soccer senior Josh Schwartz.

A salad-to-dessert buffet lunch is available for $14 per person and parking is located directly West of the Mullins Center, accessible via Mullins Way.
