Minutewomen Enter Atlantic 10 Championship As Top Seed

AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts field hockey program earned the No. 1 seed for the Atlantic 10 Field Hockey Championship to be hosted at Garber Field in Amherst, Mass., from Nov. 8-9. The Minutewomen finished the regular season with a 16-4 overall record and 7-0 mark in conference games.
Richmond is seeded second while Lock Haven is No. 3 and VCU earned the fourth and final spot. UMass will face VCU at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8 after Richmond and Lock Haven complete an 11 a.m. semifinal contest. The winner of each game advances to the championship contest scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9.
