Field Hockey Duo Takes In Pair Of Honors

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - A pair of Minutewomen field hockey student-athletes were recognized for the team's successful weekend on Monday as freshman midfielder Izzie Delario was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week and Hannah Prince was picked as the UMass Co-Athlete of the Week. Prince shares the school award with football's Rob Blanchflower and cross country's Christine Davis.

Delario recorded three points during the two-game slate against Richmond and VCU, earning a goal and assist against the Rams. Delario currently owns 15 points through five goals and as many assists over 12 games played this season.

Prince finished the stretch with a game-clinching penalty shot against the Spiders on Friday and a regulation goal versus the Rams. The Gorham, Maine, native has recorded at least one point in four of the previous five games, with 10 points in the span.

The Minutewomen conclude the regular season with a pair of road games, facing Lock Haven on Friday, Nov. 1 at 3 p.m. and St. Francis (Pa.) on Sunday, Nov. 3 at Noon.
