Gary Correia scored a career-high 15 points. It was the second time this season and fourth time in his career with 10 or more. His previous career-high of 12 was set at Rhode Island (3/7/09) and equaled this season vs. AIC (11/24/10).

Gurley has held to a season-low 7, the first time this season he didn't score in double-figures.

Sean Carter had his third game this season, and second-straight game with double-figure rebounds with 11. It was his eighth career game with more than 10 rebounds.

Sean Carter attempted a career-high eight free throws. His previous high was second, done twice before, including vs. Holy Cross this season (11/27/10).

Matt Hill hit his fourth-career 3-pointer, in the first half. He is now 4-of-18 in his four year career.

Javorn Farrell drew his fourth charge of the season, in the second half.

UMass equaled its best defensive first half for fewest points allowed in the first half as GW scored just 18 in the first half. Earlier this year Dayton had just 18 vs. the Minutemen. That was the fewest points by an opponent in a half since Feb. 25, 2006, the day Jack Leaman Court was dedication. That day Dayton also scored 18 in the first half.

UMass held GW to just 24.0 percent from the floor in the first half. The best defensive effort this season in any half.

Freddie Riley played just five minutes after suffering a right ankle injury.
