• UMass improves to 10-3 on the season and has now won four consecutive games. UMass also stays unbeaten at home with a 6-0 record (5-0 Mullins, 1-0 Cage).
• UMass used the starting line-up of Chaz Williams, Jesse Morgan, Raphiael Putney, Terrell Vinson and Sean Carter for the fourth straight game. UMass is now 4-0 with that starting line-up.
• Jesse Morgan finished the game with 14 points - his fifth game with double-figures and first since scoring 10 points at Miami (12/3/11).
• Maxie Esho finished the game with a career-high 12 points on four-of-four shooting from the floor and three-of-three from the free throw line. He also added four rebounds. Esho's four-point play (made three-pointer followed by a made foul shot) in the second half was the first for UMass since Anthony Gurley on Jan. 24, 2009 against La Salle.
• Raphiael Putney finished the game with 10 points - his sixth game with double figures eight of which came within the first five minutes of the game.
• Terrell Vinson finished the game with eight rebounds his eighth game with five-or-more rebounds in a game this season.
• Sean Carter tied his career-high for blocked shots with 4 and had a season-high 10 rebounds. Carter previously had four blocks against Charlotte (1/30/10) and Grambling State (12/11/09).
• Davidson held a 39-33 advantage over UMass on the boards marking just the fifth time this season that UMass was out-rebounded in a game (4-1).
• UMass finished the game with 11 steals - the 8th time this season with 10-or-more steals in a game.
