Notes From UMass' Loss To Maine.

Anthony Gurley has scored in double-figures in all nine games this season and has led UMass in scoring in eight of nine games. He finished with 12 vs. Maine. Overall, he now has 58 career games with 10 or more points.

Freddie Riley hit one 3-pointers in the game and has at least one in all nine games this season and in 14 games in a row dating to last season,

Daryl Traynham drew two charges in the game for five in two games - all five he has this season.

Sampson Carter drew a charge for the second game in a row and now has three this season.

Sampson Carter made a career-high eight free throws and attempted a career-high free throws with 10. He passed his former highs were seven makes and eight attempts. All of his points came from the foul line.

Javorn Farrell tied his career-high in assists. He previously had four helpers on four occasions.

Maine beat UMass for the first time since Feb. 16, 1980. But the teams had only played twice since, in 2001 and 2003.
