AMHERST, Mass. - The times for all home games and most road games for the 2009 football season have been announced. UMass will also be playing four games on Comcast SportsNet New England starting with the Rhode Island game on Sept. 19 at 3:30 p.m. The Minutemen will also host New Hampshire (Oct. 17, 3:30 p.m.) and James Madison (Nov. 14, 12 p.m.) in televised games. The home opener on Sept. 12 against Albany will be the first of two 6 p.m. home starts under the lights.

UMass will also host Stony Brook on Sept. 26 under the lights at 6 p.m.

The Oct. 10 road game at Delaware will be a 6 p.m. start and the Oct. 24 game at defending national champion Richmond will be a 3 p.m. start.

The Oct. 31 game at Maine will also be televised on Comcast SportsNet with a 3:30 p.m. start.

The home game against Northeastern is set for a 12 noon start on Nov. 7.

The game times for the season opener at Kansas State on Sept. 5 and finale at Hofstra on Nov. 21 have not been announced.
