Tony Gaffney nearly had the seventh triple-double in UMass history with 15 points, 18 rebounds and 9 blocked shots. The last triple-double came from Chris Lowe vs. La Salle (3/5/08) with 14 points, 10 rebounds, 14 assists. Stephane Lasme had an NCAA record-tying four triple-doubles in 2006-07. The first-ever UMass triple-double was achieved by current Boston College coach Al Skinner back on Dec. 28, 1973 against St. Peter's with 28 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists.
Ricky Harris scored a career-high 35 points. His previous high was 30 at Saint Joseph's (1/23/08). This was his second 30-point game.
