Lasme Sets UMass Single-Season Blocks Mark

UMass won at Fordham for the first time in seven years - nearly to the day, with the 74-59 victory. UMass' last win at Rose Hill came on Feb. 16, 2000, am 81-72 victory.
At 18-7, the Minutemen have their most wins in a season since 1997-98 when the Minutemen finished the year 21-11.
Stephane Lasme now has 130 blocked shot this season, setting the new single-season blocked shots record at UMass. He broke Marcus Camby's former record of 128 set in 1995-96.
Lasme now has 361 career blocked shots just two shy of being ranked in the top 25 in the all-time NCAA annals for blocked shots. Jerome James stands 25th with 363 while was played at Florida A&M.
Lasme had his 11th double-double of the season with 18 points and 10 rebounds. It was his 17th game in 25 this year in double-figures. Overall he has 37 career games with 10 or more points. It was his 24th career game with double-figures rebounds.
Playing on his 23rd birthday, Dante Milligan had a career-best 11 rebounds. He previously had eight against Siena on Dec. 23, 2005. He missed out his first career double-double by one point as he finished with nine.
Brandon Thomas had a season-high 12 points. It was his most points since scoring 13 against George Washington on , one year ago to the day, Feb. 15, 2006.
Coming off his career-high 31 points, Gary Forbes scored all 11 of his points in the second half as he reached double-figures for the 11th time in his last 12 games. He has 10 or more points in 20 of 25 games this season.
