* Gary Forbes' career-high 31 points were the most by a UMass player in almost four years. The last Minutemen to score more than 30 points in a game was Rashaun Freeman, who also had 31, on Feb. 28, 2004 against St. Bonaventure.
* Forbes made career 10 field goals and attempted a career-best 23 field goals. He also tied a personal best with 8-for-8 from the foul line, a percent 100 percent. He also went 8-for-8 against Duquesne on Jan. 21, 2007. Over his last 11 games, he is 50-of-66 from the foul line, 76 percent. He started the year at 54 percent in the first 13 games.
* It was Forbes' second double-double of the season, both in the last three games as he had 16 points and 16 rebounds against Richmond on Feb. 3. Overall, it was his third-career double-double.
* Forbes scored in double-figures for the 19th time in 24 games this season and 43 in his career. It was his third 20-point game this year and second in a row after he had 22 vs. Rhode Island on Feb. 8.
* Over his last 11 games, he is scoring 16.9 points and has risen to second on the team in overall scoring at 13.5 points.
* Stephane Lasme scored in double-figures for the 16th time this season and 36th in his career with 17 points.
* Lasme had just three blocks and now has 123 this season, five shy of Marcus Camby's single-season school record of 128. Lasme also now has 354 career blocks, as he closes in on the Top 25 in career blocks in the NCAA as Jerome James (363) stands 25th.
* Rashaun Freeman had 12 points for his 22nd game in 24 contests this season in double-figures. He has 86 career games with 10 or more in 109 games.
* Freeman moved to fifth in career scoring at UMass with his 12 points. He now has 1653 as he passed Tony Barbee (1643) in the first half.
* UMass outrebounded Temple, 44-26, a +18 margin.
* Temple scored the most points UMass has allowed this season at 98. The previous high was 87 by Duquesne on Jan. 21. It is the most points allowed by UMass since a 98-92 loss at Temple on March 3, 2004, which was a double-overtime game.
* Temple's 98 points were the most UMass allowed in regular since Fresno State scored 102 on Dec. 10, 1996.
