* James Life scored in double-figures for the 14th time in 28 games this season with 24. Life had only broken the 10-point mark in a one of the last five games, his season-high tying 25 against Dayton. With his 24, Life finished with three games of 24 points or more this season, all coming in the last seven games of the season. His final scoring average was 11.3, second on the team. He averaged 7.9 points over the first 15 games and averaged 15.2 in the final 13 games.

* Stephane Lasme scored in double-figures for the 15th time this season with 20 points. Lasme had only five double-figures game in his first two seasons at UMass. He has been in double-figures in five of the last six games, averaging 14.7 ppg.

* It was Lasme's second career game of 20 or more points, the only other coming against St. Peter's on Dec. 27, 2005.

* Lasme had three blocked shots to give him 108 this season, the second-highest single-season in UMass history. He passed Marcus Camby's second-place mark of 105 which he set in 1993-94. Camby holds the all-time record at 128 in 1995-96.

* Rashaun Freeman grabbed 10 rebounds for the 13th time this season and 32nd time in his career. But it was the second time he did not post 10 or more points in a game he had double-figure rebounds. He finished with a team-high rebounding average of 9.3 and team-high scoring average of 13.6.

* Chris Lowe had eight assists in the game to give him the A-10 championship in assists as a freshman with a 4.9 average. His total of 137 was the second-most by a freshman in UMass history.

* Senior Jeff Viggiano scored six points in his UMass finale. He finished his career with 817 career points and a 7.7 scoring average in 106 games.

* R-Sophomore Dante Milligan drew his first career start in the game. He has come off the bench the previous 21 games this season.

* Stephane Lasme came off the bench for the first time in two seasons, he had started 55 games in a row.
