UMass Coach Travis Ford On The Game:
"It was a tough game, Charlotte made too many threes for us to stay in the game. We knew coming in we needed to stop their strength to win...We didn't do it."

Ford On The Disappointment Of The Ending:
"We do not have time to feel sorry for ourselves. We knew that Charlotte is a better team, but we expected to win at home. This time of the season, you have to move on, good or bad."

Ford On The 25-0 Run For Charlotte In The First Half:
"When any team jumps out to a lead, most teams jump back. We had a false sense of security. We didn't expect a 25-0 run. Turnovers are holding us back (from being a great team)...Twenty turnovers are way too many"

Rashuan Freeman On The Foul Called On Him With Three Seconds Left:
"I'm not sure if it was a foul or not. I thought Stephane blocked him. I am not going to make a big deal about it. He made a good play, drove it to the hole, and got the call."

Jeff Viggiano On UMass Eventually Winning A Close Game:
"You would think so...We battled back, and kept battling. We would hope one would go our way; if not in the regular season, hopefully in the A-10 tournament. The tournament is where it counts."

Stephane Lasme On His Team's Resiliency:
"I trust my teammates. Everything that has happened up to now will get us ready for the A-10 tournament. We are still in a very good sport. We have to stay focused."

Coach Lutz On The 25-0 Run In First Half:
"I think our defense triggered it. They turned the ball over a little bit and that is where we made our adjustment. During that stretch we were getting deflections and turnovers and De'Angelo was making shots. When you make shots you look like a million dollars and during that stretch we were making shots and forcing turnovers. We forced 13 turnovers in the first half and I believe that most of them came during that stretch."

Coach Lutz On The Team's Recent Success
"Even though we have upperclassman, everyone has assumed new roles this season. De'Ángelo didn't play last year, Bennett was hurt and Curtis was third option last season. This year has been a matter of growing up and getting our selves healthy. There are some games we would like to have back, but we have been winning on the road at tough places. This was only the second home loss UMass has suffered this season. This was a great win just like the Fordham win on Saturday."

De'Angelo Alexander On The 25-0 Run
"The point guard was calling good plays, and I was concentrated on getting my feet set and making my shots."
