* With the scored tied 46-46 with 13:10 left in the game, Rashaun Freeman scored six straight points to give UMass a 52-46 lead they would never relinquish on their way to a 72-64 win at the Reilly Center on Sunday afternoon. Freeman tied his season high 25 points and grabbed a career-high 19 rebounds in the game. UMass dominated the boards, outrebounding St. Bonaventure 54-33. Stephane Lasme racked up 11 points and a career-high 15 rebounds. Freeman and Lasme combined to outrebound the Bonnies, 34-33.
With 19 rebounds, Freeman fell one short of becoming the first UMass player with 20 rebounds in 30 years as Jim Town hauled in 27 boards on Dec. 12, 1976 vs. Boston College. Freeman's 11 offensive rebounds were the most by a UMass player since Ajmal Basit had 10 against Georgetown on Dec. 4, 19996.
* UMass won its second road game of the season after losing six in a row and 10 of the previous 11. The only other road win came at Duquesne on Jan. 7, winning 82-63.
* After scoring just 3.8 points per game over the last three games, A-10 First Team performer Rashaun Freeman returned to form with 25 points. It was his 15th game this season in double-figures and 61st in 80 career games. Five of those games have come against the Bonnies. Freeman had 11 points in the first half and added 14 in the second half.
* Freeman had a run of scoring 15 of UMass' 23 points bridging the two halves.
* It was Freeman's seventh game this season with 20 or more points and 19th of his career. It was his second game this season with 25 points.
* Freeman also grabbed 19 rebounds, for his 10th double-double this season and 29th of his career. It was his first double-double in four games.
* Freeman had 11 offensive rebounds, marking the first time a UMass player had double-figures in offensive rebounds since Ajmal Basit had 10 vs. Georgetown on Dec. 4, 1996.
* Stephane Lasme scored 11 points and grabbed a career-high 15 rebounds, his fourth double-double this season and sixth of his career. His first-ever came at St. Bonaventure last season.
* Since returning to the starting line-up Brandon Thomas has continued his strong play. He tallied eight points. After averaging 2.3 points in seven games off the bench, Thomas is averaging (10.3) over the last three games.
* Jeff Viggiano also scored in double-figures for the third game in a row with 10. He is averaging (11.0) over that stretch.
* Dante Milligan grabbed seven rebounds, his ninth time with five or more rebounds this season.
* UMass shot 53.3 percent in the first half from the floor and 57.1 from 3-point range.
* UMass has won the last four games against St. Bonaventure and leads the all-time series 35-17.
