* Jeff Viggiano led UMass with 15 points, his 6th game this season in double-figures and first in five games. It was also his 32nd career game with 10 or more points.
* Stephane Lasme, who came into the game averaging 4.3 blocks per game (third in the nation), had seven swats and now has 59 in 13 games this season, an average of 4.5.
* As a team, UMass had eight blocks shots. The Minutemen came into the game averaging 8.3 blocks per game, second in the nation. UMass now has 108 in 13 games.
* Lawrence Carrier had nine points, his second-highest scoring game this season. He had 11 vs. Savannah State.
* Despite scoring just four points, Rashaun Freeman moved to 29th all-time at UMass in scoring and now has 1,076 points, passing Shannon Crooks, who had 1,074. Next on the list of Jack Foley (1,081).
* Freeman's four points were his lowest since four points at Saint Joseph's on Jan. 22, 2005.
* UMass equaled a season-high with 23 tunrovers, which they also had vs. UAB on Nov. 25 in Springfield, Mass.
