UMass 68, Saint Joseph's 58 Jan. 11, 2006 * Mullins Center
* UMass beat Saint Joseph's for the first time since March 8, 2001. The Hawks had won eight straight in the series. It was the first win for UMass over St. Joe's at home since Feb. 19, 2000.
* UMass has now won nine games in a row at the Mullins Center dating to last season.
* UMass is 2-0 in the A-10 for the first time since the 1998-99 season.
* UMass' bench outscored the Hawks 20-2.
* Rashaun Freeman scored in double-figures for the 10th time in 12 games this season and 56th time in 69 career games with 19 points. He now has 1,072 career points to stand 29th all-time at UMass. He passed Alex Eldridge (1,053) in the win.
* Dante Milligan set a new career-high with 13 points as he made 6-of-6 from the floor. It was his first time in double-figures. He came into the game with 3.1 career scoring average.
* James Life reached double-figures for the fifth game this season with 11 and his three 3-point field goals.
* Chris Lowe played a career-high 36 minutes at point guard and had career-highs with eight rebounds and 7 assists.
* Stephane Lasme, who came into the game third in the nation in blocked shots averaging 4.4 per game, had four.
* UMass, which was second as a team in blocked shots coming into the game (8.3) had nine.
* UMass took a 23-21 lead with 2:50 left in the first half on a Chris Lowe jumper off the glass. Those points were the first in 3:53 as the teams were tied at 21-21.
* Saint Joseph's missed eight 3-pointers in the first half (2-of-10), in their entire last game vs. Temple, they only missed 12 all game, going 14-of-26.
* The first offensive rebound of the game came with 4:40 left in the first half by Jeff Viggiano. The first 17 rebounds were all defensive.
* UMass went on a 16-7 run after trailing to take a 16-13 lead.
