Pam Rosanio Named A-10 Rookie Of The Week

AMHERST, Mass. -- Freshman Pam Rosanio (Southampton, Pa.) has been named the Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball co-Rookie of the Week announced by the conference office. Rosanio averaged 13.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 blocks in a pair of UMass wins last week over St. Bonaventure and Dayton. This is Rosanio's third citation this year.
In a 52-30 UMass win over Dayton Friday night, Rosanio led all scorers with 12 points and tied a career-high with six rebounds. She was 5-for-9 from the field and also dished out three assists. Rosanio then added 15 points in the Minutewomen's 69-58 win over St. Bonaventure last Sunday at the Mullins Center. Rosanio ranks second in the league in scoring among freshmen at 11.0 ppg. She leads the team with this figure.
Massachusetts will look for its third straight win Sunday at Xavier. Tip-off from the Cintas Center in Cincinnati is slated for 2:00 PM. The game will be broadcast live on WMUA, 91.1 FM, and www.umassathletics.com beginning at 1:30 PM.
