DAVIDSON, N.C. - * Stephane Lasme tied the school-record for blocked shots in a game with nine. It was previously accomplished by Marcus Camby twice in 1996 and originally set by Harper Williams in 1991. Lasme's total set a new career high breaking his old mark of seven set vs. Rhode Island (2/23/05).
* Lasme had his third-career double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. He missed out on the second triple-double in school history which was performer by Al Skinner in 1973.
* Lasme had double-figures in points for the sixth time in his career as well as the sixth time with double-figure rebounds. It was the eighth time he had five or more blocks.
* UMass' 11 blocks are the second-most in two seasons as they had 12 vs. Rhode Island (2/23/05) last year.
* Brandon Thomas scored in double-figures for the first time at UMass with 12 points. He has now reached 10 or more points in 17 career games, the first 16 at LIU.
* Maurice Maxwell led the way with 13 points, his 28th game with double-figures.
* Rashaun Freeman, who had seven points, was held to less than 10 points for just the 11th time in his career and first time in 12 games dating to Jan. 29, 2005 when he had eight vs. Richmond.
* The game was UMass' first loss by three points or less in two seasons, as they went 5-0 in such games last year. UMass' last loss by three points was the final game of the 2003-04 season, 79-76 to Duquesne in the A-10 Tournament.
* UMass is now 12-3 over the past two years in games decided by six points or less.
