The countdown is on and only a couple more days until our first game. Everybody is so excited! We have been working hard everyday trying to focus and get everything together before Friday when we host Simon Fraser in an exhibition game at the Mullins Center. Our defense is coming together and we are looking to keep it at the same level as last year when were among the nation's leaders. We have been working hard with our man and zone defenses the past couple of days.
Our offense is also coming along and the coaches are encouraging us to keep running the break. New plays are getting put in each day and everyone is doing a pretty good job on understanding them. We have been scrimmaging some guys that come in and they seem to help us because we realize how much smarter we have to be with the basketball. It also helps to let us play against different people so we don't have to keep going at each other. These next couple of days are just going to be all about focus and getting ready to play. I know all my teammates are ready to go for Friday!!!
