Minutewomen Head To A-10 Championships

AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts women's tennis team (8-11) will begin play in the Atlantic 10 Conference tournament on Friday, April 16, in College Park, Md. The Minutewomen will enter the tournament as the #3 seed and receive a first round bye, and will take on the winner of Duquesne/St. Bonaventure at 3:30 p.m.
Massachusetts posted a perfect 4-0 record against Atlantic 10 opponents in the regular season, including a 4-3 win over this year's #1 seed, Temple, who the Minutewomen lost to in the finals of last year's tournament. UMass' other A-10 wins came over Rhode Island and St. Bonaventure, both by scores of 7-0, and Fordham, by a score of 4-2.
