Baseball Beanpot Classic Moved to Brockton

AMHERST, Mass. - The 14th annual Baseball Beanpot Classic, originally scheduled to be played at Fenway Park, has been moved to Brockton's Campanelli Stadium. Massachusetts (10-10) will square off against Northeastern in the first game of a twi-night doubleheader beginning at 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday, April 20. Boston College and Harvard are slated to meet in the second game, beginning at approximately 8:00 p.m.
The winner of each contest will advance to the championship game to be played at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21, while the two remaining teams will meet in the consolation game beginning at 5:00 p.m.
Campanelli Stadium in located at 1 Lexington Avenue in Brockton, Mass., and is the minor league home of the Brockton Rox of the Northeast League. The stadium is located off Route 24 North, which is exit 7A off of I-495 South. Take exit 17A off of Route 24 onto RT-123 East (Belmont Street) and follow it approximately two miles. Campanelli Stadium is located on the right, adjacent to Brockton High School and across from the Brockton Fairgrounds.
