PRINCETON, N.J.- Seniors Jen Freemas (Wallingford, Pa.) and Julie McGee (Needham, Mass.) and junior Brandy Green (Fitchburg, Mass.) represented the University of Massachusetts women's outdoor track and field team at the 2003 ECAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Princeton, N.J.
Green tallied UMass' lone point in the three-day meet when she placed eighth in the pole vault after clearing 12-0.
McGee captured 15th place in the 10,000-meter run at 37:03.46 on Friday. The time was the second-fastest in school history, trailing only Kelly Liljeblad's 35:10.97 mark in 1995.
Freemas finished 12th in the prelims of the 400-meter hurdles at 1:01.80. The time was the third best in UMass' all-time records, trailing Silifa Kenku's 1:00.56 she set in 1998 and Freemas' 1:01.31 she hit in 2001, but it did not qualify Freemas for the event finals.
The University of Pittsburrgh captured first place with 114 total points and Georgetown was second with 68 points.
