AMHERST, Mass. - University of Massachusetts women's basketball senior center Jennifer Butler (Brooklyn, N.Y.) was named the co-Atlantic 10 Player of the Week as announced by the league office this morning. It marks the fourth time Butler has been honored this year. She shares the season's last award with Duquesne's Beth Friday.

Then, in Thursday's 64-51 homecourt win over Fordham, the All-America candidate poured in a game-high 21 points and grabbed 19 rebounds to become the all-time leading rebounder in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Butler has now pulled down 708 boards in league play. She also had two assists, one blocked shot and five steals while not committing a turnover against the Rams.
Butler currently leads the nation pulling down 14.5 rebounds per game and is first on the team and fourth in the A-10 with a 17.1 ppg average.
