AMHERST, Mass. -- The University of Massachusetts men's basketball team will salute its season ticket holders on Sunday, Nov. 10, in the Mullins Center.
"This is a great way for our team to thank our loyal season ticket holders, who are the backbone of our program," UMass coach Steve Lappas said. "We are grateful for everyone who has purchased season tickets for the upcoming season, and look forward to seeing them at the Mullins Center this Sunday and throughout the season."
Season Ticket Holder Appreciation Day will feature an open practice beginning at 2 p.m. in the Mullins Center, followed by an autograph session with the Minutemen at 3 p.m. Other activities include free food and special UMass basketball raffle prizes.
Sunday's special event is open only to season ticket holders, and special passes to the appreciation day were included with this year's season ticket mailing.
The Minutemen open their 2002-03 season with exhibition games against the NIKE All-Stars (Nov. 7) and the Coaches vs. Cancer All-Stars (Nov. 16) before facing 2002 NCAA runner-up Indiana in the opening round of the 2002 EA Sports Maui Invitational, Nov. 25.
Season tickets may still be purchased by calling the UMass Athletic Ticket Office at 1-866-UMASS-TIX.
