DAYTON, Ohio (AP) - Yuanta Holland scored 18 points and Tony Stanley added 17 to lead Dayton to an 89-76 victory over Massachusetts on Tuesday night.
Stanley also led Dayton (14-9, 5-5 Atlantic 10 Conference) in 3-pointers, hitting 3-of-6. Nate Green and Keith Waleskowski added 16 points each.
Micah Brand and Monty Mack led scoring for Massachusetts (10-11, 8-2) with 23 points each, while Mack led the game in 3-pointers with 6-of-16. Jonathan DePina was the only other Massachusetts player in double figures, scoring 10 points.
Dayton took a two-point lead with 5:50 left in the first half and steadily increased the lead to a 43-31 score by halftime. The Flyers maintained a lead the rest of the way.
In the second half, Dayton led by as many as 19 points with 1:27 left to play.
Dayton shot 56 percent from 3-point range, while Massachusetts shot only 39 percent of its 3-pointers. Dayton outrebounded Massachusetts 34-26 and shot 54 percent from the field, compared with 44 percent by Massachusetts.
In free throws, Dayton shot 80 percent, while Massachusetts shot 76 percent.
