Men's Tennis Falls to Colgate, 5-2

AMHERST, Mass.. - The University of Massachusetts men's tennis team dropped it's first dual match of the spring season to Colgate, 5-2, yesterday at Hampshire College.
The Minutemen picked up their only two points of the day at the No. 1 and 2 singles positions. Junior Steve Prisco (Dedham, Mass.) knocked of Eric Saccullo of Colgate, 6-4, 1-6, 6-3, while freshman Brent Davis (San Diego, Calif.) defeated Josh Cohn 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.
In doubles, the only Minutemen team to win was Davis and Prisco as they beat Saccullo and Cohn 8-1. The Red Raiders won the next two matches to take the point and secure the match.
The Minutemen will next be in action Friday, Feb. 23, when they travel to Burlington, Vt. for a match with the Catamounts of Vermont. It is set to begin at 4:00.
