Men's Tennis Falls To Hartford, 6-1

AMHERST, Mass. -- The University of Massachusetts men's tennis team fell to Hartford, 6-1, this afternoon at the Upper Boyden Courts. The Minutemen are now 2-2 this fall season.
The day started off well for the Maroon and White as the took the doubles point and led the match 1-0 heading into singles play, but the Hawks won all six singles matches to take the victory.
The doubles teams of senior Steve Prisco (Dedham, Mass.) and freshman Scott Sans Leeb (Lafayette, Calif.) as well as freshman Reid Stubbs (Fort Myers, Fla.) and sophomore Phillip Rodrigues (Estoril, Portugal) were both victorious, 8-2 and 8-3, respectively.
The Minutemen's three-match homestand concludes tomorrow afternoon when they host cross town rival Amherst College at the Upper Boyden Courts. Doubles play will get underway at 3:00 p.m.
