Men's Tennis Competes At Omni Hotels Eastern Regional

PRINCETON, N.J. -- University of Massachusetts senior Steve Prisco (Dedham, Mass.) defeated Ethan Farbman of Columbia (7-5, 6-3) last night to advance into today's second-round of the Omni Hotels Eastern Regional. Prisco will face second-seeded Judson Williams of Princeton this afternoon. Williams received a bye in the first-round.
The doubles tandem of Prisco and senior Todd Champeau (Waukesha, Wisc.) upset the ninth-seeded duo of Brian Barki and Ryan Hardwood from Penn, 9-8 in the seventh tie-breaker. They will next face the team of Mike Furman and Joe Lang from UConn this afternoon.
The tournament will continue through Wed. Oct. 31, with the winners advancing to the Omni Hotels Nationals Nov. 8-11, in Dallas, Texas.
