The Minutewomen built an 11-point halftime lead (31-20) after shooting 35.7% from the field. Seven UMass players scored three or more points before halftime, while Butler grabbed 10 of her rebounds in the first frame. The second half saw Fordham cut the deficit to 40-33 with 13:24 to play on a lay-up by Maureen Garvey, but it was as close as the Rams would get.
