Men's Tennis defeats Central Connecticut 7-0

AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts men's tennis team swept the match in defeating Central Connecticut State today, 7-0.
Junior Todd Champeau (Waukesha, Wis.) defeated Nathan Gaudreau in straight sets 6-3, 6-1, and improves to 5-1 on the season in singles play. Junior Steve Prisco (Dedham, Mass.) defeated Chris Markowski 6-4, 7-5, improving his record to 4-1, while freshman Brent Davis (San Diego, Calif.) defeated Brian Shopiro 6-0, 6-1, and also stands at 4-1.
The doubles team of sophomore Will Shaw (Norwell, Mass.) and Rory Theis (Bloomington, Minn.) along with Phillip Rodriguez (Estoril, Portugal) and Bill Greener (Walpole, Mass.) paced the Minutemen to its' doubles point.
The Minutemen will return to action tomorrow Tuesday, Oct. 10 when they visit the Eagles of Boston College at Chestnut Hill, Mass. to make up a rain-out from last Thursday.
