No. 12 Men's Water Polo Earns Two Wins

AMHERST, Mass. -- The No. 12 University of Massachusetts men's water polo team (18-6, 8-0 CWPA) defeated Connecticut College (10-6), and Fordham University (24-10), at Amherst College, in a CWPA League Tournament this afternoon. Sophomore Brady Hahn (Ypsilanti, Mich.) scored five goals and had a pair of assists, in the two wins.
In the Connecticut College win, freshman goalie Rodrigo Gonzalez (La Jolla, Calif.) played the entire game and came up with 12 saves.
Junior co-captain J.R. Vanderwall (Rockford, Mich.) started the second game and made five saves, before turning it over to Gonzalez who made six saves over the last two quarters.
UMass returns to action later tonight against the No. 13 St. Francis Terriers at 8:30 p.m. The CWPA League Tournament will conclude Sunday afternoon against No. 18 Queens at 2:30 p.m., at Amherst College.
